Catching Up With B.L. Pittman Interiors

Hey everybody!

Now that we have settled in, and I’m getting back to work, I thought I’d give a little update on what I’ve been up to - and why B.L. Pittman Interiors has been inactive for a bit.

Graduation

In June 2017, my then fiance Jeremy, and I packed up and moved to Lincoln, Nebraska. He had graduated with his Ph.D. from NC State, and was hired for a post doctoral research position there. I spent my time in Lincoln working with some fantastic people at EMO Flooring. It was a really great experience, especially valuable because flooring was an area that I wasn't as knowledgeable in. I learned so much from my coworkers during my tenure with the company, and was able to work with retail customers and builders to help bring their remodel or new construction projects to reality! I even designed two houses on the Parade of Homes, in addition to assisting with a couple of others!

Jeremy and I packed a lot into our short time in Nebraska. We hit the county fair, went apple picking, visited Scottsbluff NE and saw Oregon Trail Wagon Ruts and Fort Laramie in Wyoming. We also went to the dirt track races at Eagle (almost every weekend), Chicago, took many trips to Jeremy’s hometown in Iowa, camped at Mount Rushmore, and got a dog from Kansas! Punchy has been the best pup that we could ask for, and now is my Design Paw-sistant!

Toward the end of Jeremy’s research position, he accepted his current job. This brought us back to North Carolina. Since this past June, we have made a cross country move, bought a house and car, and got married! We are excited to see what 2019 brings!
